While many find their footing through new friendships or student associations, Catherine’s story is one of a spiritual fire nearly extinguished by the weight of transition. Deeply devoted since high school, Catherine’s life once revolved around service, from church maintenance to leading the Rosary. She arrived at UPSA hoping for a spiritual breakthrough, but the journey revealed how fragile her foundation truly was. After moving from Ablekuma to Kwabenya, she realized her "fire" was dependent on the structured Catholic community of her youth. Isolated and misunderstood by her non-religious family, Catherine reached a breaking point. In a moment of profound frustration and spiritual exhaustion, it was Catherine herself who threw her Bible and journals into the trash. It wasn't an act of parental discipline, but a personal "punishment" directed at God, a desperate reaction to a spark she felt had already vanished. Yet, the hunger remained. For months, she lived in a state of spiritual seeking, turning to online Christian creators and spending lonely nights on her balcony praying and chanting in the hopes of reclaiming what she lost.
