UPSA Vice Chancellor surprises students with chocolates

On February 14, 2026, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), surprised students with chocolates as part of a special Valentine’s Day celebration. Accompanied by some lecturers and students, he made his way through the halls, sharing chocolates and brightening the Valentine’s Day mood on campus. During his tour, Leslie Sackey, a UPSA student, was awarded a chocolate for dressing professionally to class on a Saturday, highlighting the university’s recognition of discipline and presentation. However, a class was not gifted chocolates due to unprofessional appearance. He also encouraged students to change their perception of Valentine’s Day from merely making love to truly showing love, emphasizing acts of kindness, thoughtfulness, and appreciation. He further promoted local products, saying, “Consume made-in-Ghana goods; Ghana has the best chocolate.”
